US will stop giving green cards to Cuban illegals
44 th President of the United States Barack Obama canceled a policy that provides a residence permit for Cubans who arrived in the United States without a visa.
New rules take effect immediately, reports NBC with reference to its sources in the White House.
According to them, Washington and Havana held talks on this issue, and Cuba agreed to accept again illegal migrants expelled from the United States.
Previously, the United States had a policy known as “wet foot, dry foot,” under which any Cuban illegal migrant who set foot on American soil could claim legal residence in the United States.
