US Air Force General Philip Breedlove, the commander of NATO forces in Europe, called on the American authorities to send additional forces to Europe and to increase the level of military training in the context of the revitalization of Russia.

“If we look at Russia's actions since 2008 - in Georgia, Nagorno-Karabakh, Crimea, Donbass, and now in Syria - we see what most call a revanchist Russia, which has returned to the use of military force as an instrument of national power to achieve their goals,” the American general told reporters in Germany.

According to Breedlove, it is necessary to make changes in the operations of the US armed forces in Europe, given that over the past few years 20 the United States has been guided by attempts to make Russia its partner.

“Now every soldier, sailor, airman and Marine that comes to European Command will be focused on restoring this advanced level of kinetic readiness,” the American general added.
