USM Holdings, owned by Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov and his partners, is on the list of investors for the American taxi ordering service Uber.

This is with reference to a source close to an investment holding, reports RBC.

According to the source, in the summer of 2015, USM invested several tens of millions of dollars in an American startup.

Thanks to the summer round of investment, Uber “overstepped” the company's total value of 50 billion dollars by two years faster than the American social network Facebook did.

The last round of investment in Uber took place in December 2015 of the year, when the company attracted $ 2,1 billion from Tiger Global Management, T.Rowe Price and other investors, who valued the company’s entire business at $ 62,5 billion.
