SWAT shot a prisoner who took hostage nurses

SWAT gunned down a prisoner in a Chicago suburb hospital after taking nurses hostage and negotiations stalled.
The prisoner managed to steal a pistol from the guard and, a few hours later, take one of the nurses as a hostage. All actions took place in a hospital in Geneva, which is located in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois.
It was all very chaotic. When the 22-year-old prisoner Tivon Salters managed to seize a weapon, he ran through the hospital.
The medical staff decided to call special forces, says Kane County Sheriff Patrick Glenten. During negotiations with the police, the offender released one nurse from the hostages and took another.
The capture lasted about 5 hours. During this operation, the emergency room was evacuated. All entrances and exits are closed. The rest of the hospital departments were working. When negotiations came to a standstill, one of the policemen shot and killed the intruder. This happened at the moment when the special forces entered the room to free the hostage. The nurse was not hurt.
About why Salters, who received a sentence for theft of a car, was in the hospital, the county sheriff cannot report, referring to the federal law on private life.
