Southwest launches flights to Hawaii for the first time in 17

Aircraft Southwest Airlines will finally fly to four airports in Hawaii.

Among the four destinations will be Honolulu (Oahu), Kahului (Maui), Lihue (Kauai) and Kona (Hawaii’s “Big Island”).

Southwest Airlines did not talk about specific dates or routes, but flight plans to Hawaii have been very welcome since the airline announced its intention to fly to the state in 2017.

"While we do not yet have details for exact dates or routes, these represent our initial steps and top priorities for speedy service to the State of Hawaii," the statement said. Southwest, published on his website on Thursday.
