Snowmen and 'Glory to Heroes!': An unusual march in honor of Bandera took place in Kiev
On Tuesday, January 1, two marches took place in Kiev on the 110 anniversary of the birth of the Ukrainian political figure, one of the OUN leaders Stepan Bandera.

This year, some of the participants decided to do without traditional torches - they lit sparklers. The protests in Kyiv took place peacefully, positively and without provocations, writes “Columnist«.
At about 17:00, a festive procession began near the Opera House, organized by the National Corps party and the public organization National Squads. Activists in camouflage and Santa Claus hats communicated exclusively in Ukrainian. At the head of the column were cars with music, and snowmen led the procession.

Thousands of people carried torches, the Ukrainian flag, red and black and party flags. Drummers walked ahead and cars drove. Participants chanted: “Glory to Ukraine!” - "Glory to heroes!". The column was led by nationalist presidential candidate Ruslan Koshulinsky.

“2019 is a decisive year for the future of Ukraine, if we are not active and bring our ideas to people, then the situation will be critical. Only we - the union of Ukrainians - will be able to resist the revenge of anti-Ukrainian forces. Ukraine will not be saved by clowns, oligarchs, but only by nationalists,” MP Andrei Ilyenko told the audience.
