The death of a Hollywood actress with Russian roots: the investigation had questions to her husband

Robert Wagner, husband of Hollywood star Natalie Wood, became interested in investigators almost 40 years after her death, reports Газета.ру

On the night of November 30 1981, the actress fell overboard the yacht Splendour and drowned. At this time, the yacht was Wagner, actor Christopher Walken and captain Dennis Davern. As the media wrote, this day Wood had a falling out with her husband.

In 2011, Los Angeles authorities resumed the investigation because they found people who had "additional information."

Now, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office investigators want to talk to Wagner about the circumstances behind Wood’s death.

“Now we know that he was the last one who was with Natalie before her disappearance,” said Lieutenant John Corina.

According to investigators, Wagner refused to talk with them after re-opening the case. Walken has already talked to law enforcement officials.

As the investigators added, they could not prove whether the death was violent or an accident, and the main problem is that they still do not know how the actress ended up in the water.

Wood is an American actress of Russian origin. Winner of the Golden Globe Award. Known for the films Rebel Without a Cause, West Side Story and The Great Race.
