North Korea threatens to deliver an "unexpected strike" on the United States amid tensions over Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile programs, writes USA Today.

“Now that enemies are claiming that the exercise will be a demonstration of a real strike against the DPRK, the US should know that it will face an incredible strike unexpectedly,” the DPRK's Korean Central News Agency said on Thursday.

“Worse, the United States dragged under our noses the goals that we identified as the main ones. The United States should know that it will face an unheard of blow at an unexpected moment, ”the statement says.

Military exercises will last until October 26, just after President Trump threatened to "completely destroy" North Korea if the reclusive state resorts to using weapons against the United States or its allies. Pyongyang repeatedly threatened Washington. Trump answered rhetoric.

This is 13% more than in July, when 41% of Americans saw North Korea as a threat. The terrorist group Islamic State took second place (19%, up from 28% in July).
