Savchenko will be presented with the American Award “For Freedom”

The authoritative non-governmental organization “Atlantic Council of the USA” will present the “For Freedom” award to the Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko. The award on behalf of Savchenko will be received by her sister Vera.

According to the official, the same award will be received by the former Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, teachers and students of the Donetsk National University in Exile and the famous Polish film director Agnieszka Holland.

By the way, the murdered Russian oppositionist Boris Nemtsov was posthumously awarded with a similar award.

Also, it should be noted that according to the Helsinki Commission of the US Congress, roughly June 24, open hearings on Savchenko will take place in the Congress.

“We see this as a step of solidarity and support. This is another evidence that Nadezhda has not been forgotten,” Nemyrya noted.
