April 12, a new film by Leonid Parfenov “Russian Jews” is released at 14 film distribution - the first film of the trilogy about the role of Jews in the history of Russia.
The trilogy tells the story of Russian Jews and tries to comprehend the phenomenon of an entire nation. The first film covers events from Kievan Rus to the 1917 revolution of the year. He tells, in particular, about Russia since the time of Catherine II, which was the country with the largest Jewish population, and how the Jews in Russia overcame isolation in the 19th century.
Sergey Nurmamed, production director: “Especially for this project, we came up with a new style of game reconstructions, which may then be close to newsreels, then turn into screen images, objects relevant to the plot, buildings, human silhouettes. In the film, there are dozens of historical persons with their authentic quotes. To make it really look like first-person testimony, face-tracking technology is used. ”
