Russians consider the US the main threat to the security of their country.
63% of Russians believe that the main threat to the security of their country comes from the United States.
This is evidenced by the results of the survey All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM).
31% of respondents see a potential aggressor in Ukraine.
Next in the list of potential sources of military aggression are NATO (7%), China (5%), Great Britain (4%), the Islamic State terrorist group (4%), Syria (3%) and Germany (3%).
In the event of a difficult situation, Russians expect allied support mainly from China (41%), Belarus (25%) and Kazakhstan (18%). There are those who expect support from the United States and Ukraine, but there are few of them - by 2%.
10% of respondents said that in the event of a military attack, Russia would not have anyone to seek allied support.
The survey was conducted on 16-17 of June 2017 of the year using a telephone interview method on a stratified two-base random sample of stationary and mobile numbers of 1200 respondents.
