Russian actor caught on April Fool's duck

Russian actor Mikhail Porechenkov became a victim of the April Fools ’drawing by agreeing to the proposal to head the Ministry of Culture of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) on the territory of Ukraine. With such a proposal to the actor turned pranker Vladimir Krasnov, better known as Vovan222.

Vovan led the conversation on behalf of the self-proclaimed vice speaker of the People’s Council of the DPR, Denis Pushilin. During the conversation, he informed the actor that a discussion was taking place on the composition of the cabinet of ministers of the republic and the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, had the idea to invite Porechenkov to work. Also, the actor was informed that in the new position he would be engaged in patriotic education and would have to help Donetsk State University in collecting materials.

"With pleasure, of course, I will help, let me now navigate the most important proposal," - said the actor. At the same time, he asked for additional time for an answer, stressing that from a creative point of view, he was ready to help the republic absolutely exactly.

This is not the first pranker rally, which received a wide public response. Previously, well-known politicians, athletes and artists became victims of Vovan’s jokes. Among them are figure skater Alexei Yagudin, Kharkiv Mayor Gennady Kernes, hockey player Semyon Varlamov, and Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky.

In Ukraine, Porechenkov has been wanted since January 2015. The SBU brought charges against the actor under the article "Terrorist activity that led to the death of a person." In addition, Kiev has banned for film and television 69 films and TV shows with the participation of Porechenkov.

The claims of the Ukrainian authorities are connected with a visit to the Russian actor in Donetsk at the end of October 2014. During the trip, he visited the militia positions at the Donetsk airport and shot there with a machine gun.

The video appeared on YouTube. Porechenkov himself later said that he had fired blank bullets. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, however, regarded the actions of the film actor as “participation in the shelling of a unit of the Ukrainian armed forces from automatic weapons”.
