A restaurant in Manhattan opened after the explosion, which is believed to be the culprits of the Ukrainians
The Pommes Frites restaurant opened on Monday in New York, which was destroyed by a powerful 14 gas explosion months ago. As a result of the incident on Second Avenue in Manhattan, two people were killed.
Как wrote ForumDaily, second-degree murder charges, as well as the creation of conditions dangerous to the lives of others, and other crimes were blamed on Ukrainian immigrants, including Maria Greenenko, owner of the house in the East Village, and her son Michael.
The building, as reported, inherited Grinenko a legacy from her husband, who also owned a snack bar in Kiev, New York. Among the dead were an employee of the nearby sushi bar Moyzes Lokon and a visitor to this establishment, Nicolas Figueroa.
Pommes Frites is a Belgian-style cafe that had been open for 18 years and was popular with locals before the explosion in the building next door. The owner of the bar, Suzanne Levinson, has been implementing a new restaurant project for the entire year since the incident, and now her establishment is located in the West Village on MacDougal Street.
“Opening a restaurant is not an easy event for me. Since the day of the explosion, I have not mourned the loss of my business for a single day. It's just business. And I’m not thinking about us, but about those young people,” Levinson says through tears.
For this reason, Levinson refused to holiday with fireworks and fanfare. But all the guests could enjoy branded French fries in the Belgian style from the institution.
