Simple life hack: how to fly free in business class with your whole family

Flying with small children, especially over long distances, can completely discourage travel. The father of two children has revealed the secret of how his entire family flies business class for free, reports New York Post.

When you're facing a tiring 16-hour flight with small children and judgmental passengers, staying home is the path of least resistance.

Some of the immediate benefits of traveling in business class include more space, faster check-in, shorter security lines, priority baggage, increased baggage allowance, use of priority boarding, business class lounge, attentive service, children's meals and the opportunity for everyone to get some sleep .

“One of the best-kept secrets of business class is that no one pays for it,” says father-of-two Jimmy Mitchell.

A family of four shares their travel tips. They sold everything to move to Southeast Asia. So they wanted to avoid a cost of living crisis.

Sharing your impressions of traveling to Internet, Jimmy and Pauline say their lifestyle is becoming increasingly popular. They met other families who also use travel to escape the rising cost of living.

“Nobody pays cash for a business class seat. It's all about points. The best way to get points from credit cards is through point hacking. Basically, you just get credit cards and unlock the limit,” explains Jimmy.

“A credit card might offer 100 points with a $000 spending limit. You apply for the card, spend your limit and get 3000 points, enough for a business class ticket from Perth to Los Angeles. You can repeat the same thing with other cards,” he shares in on your TikTok. His video has been viewed by more than 1,7 million people.

“Some people have 10 or 12 credit cards that they use just to max out, get points, pay off debt and never use them again,” he says, sitting in his business class seat.

Is it really that simple?

Just Google “point hacking” and the first few links will show banks or companies that issue cards with points for them.

With Velocity you can earn up to 120 points. With Westpac you can earn a bonus of 000 on your travels.

There's even a subgroup on Reddit where you can find out more - people have researched it all for you. Unsurprisingly, there's also a website that compiles all the deals in one convenient place.

The question remains: will such a hack be a wake-up call for credit card companies? After all, you want to travel comfortably, not ruin your credit rating.

“Credit card companies rely on people not paying off their loans. The number of people who benefit from a points system is tiny compared to the number of people who don't pay off their credit cards on time,” explains Jimmy.

What was also surprising about the video was that the people around him in business class weren't crazy rich and weren't paying for flights or upgrades, but were using their points for a more comfortable flight.

“If you talk to anyone who flies business class or first class often, you will learn something interesting. They don't pay for tickets - they use points donated by credit card companies,” says Jimmy.

“My advice is to shop around, find out the pros and cons, and decide if it's right for your family. As a family, we really enjoy flying business class. I can lie down and sleep for a few hours,” he concludes.
