A jury found six police officers guilty of the death of Freddie Gray in Baltimore
Jury jury recognized guilty six policemenCharged with the death of 25-year-old African-American Freddie Gray in the US city of Baltimore (Maryland). This was reported by 21 in Maryland State Prosecutor Marilyn Mosby.
“All six police officers were found guilty by the grand jury. They will appear in court on June 2,” she noted during a press conference.
On April 25, protesters clashed with police in Baltimore, and on April 27, the day of Gray’s funeral — they resulted in riots and pogroms. Several shopping centers were looted, one and a half hundred cars and at least 15 buildings were burned. On April 28, a curfew was declared in Baltimore. To suppress violence and robberies, police from other states were sent to the city, and units of the National Guard were brought in.
