The official page of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' appeared on the VKontakte social network.

The page will be led by the employees of the information department, and the selected questions and comments will be passed on to Patriarch Kirill himself.

“The opening of the blog is timed to coincide with the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture. In fact, creating a page on a popular social network has the same goal as the missionary works of Slovenian teachers - delivering the Word of God using the means of communication that are most understandable to contemporaries,” explained Vladimir Legoida, chairman of the Synodal Information Department of the Russian Orthodox Church.

“The Patriarch has repeatedly emphasized that for millions of people social networks are the main source of information and a means of communication,” he recalled.

The page will be led by the employees of the information department, and the selected questions and comments will be passed on to Patriarch Kirill himself.

Previously patriarchal page appeared in other social networks. In particular, Facebook has about 6 thousand subscribers.
