Palestinians refuse to negotiate with new Israeli government
Senior Palestinian politician Saib Arikat said that the international community is putting unprecedented pressure on the Palestinian Authority, demanding that the peace talks with Israel be resumed.
Among other things, a direct meeting of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the President of the Palestinian Authority Abu Mazen is required to be held in one of the countries of Europe.
According to Arikat, the administration of autonomy does not intend to change its policy in connection with the formation of a right-wing government in Israel.
As Kursor previously reported, the head of the negotiating team, Saeb Erekat, reacted extremely negatively to information about the composition of the new Israeli government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In an interview with the Arab media, he called the new coalition a union of right-wing extremists and said that it was created on the basis of an ideology of opposing the peace process and stability in the Middle East region.
“This is a government of war,” said Saeb Erekat.
