A severed snake head bit Texas resident
A poisonous snake even with a severed head can pose a threat to life, a Texas resident recently learned from experience, writes Air force.
The wife of the victim Jennifer Sutcliffe told reporters about this unusual incident.
According to her, husband Jennifer (his name is not called) 27 May, digging in the garden, came across a rattlesnake with a length of more than a meter.
Without thinking twice, he took a shovel and cut off reptiles head, reports the local TV channel KIII TV.
When a man bent down to throw out the remains of a snake, his severed head bit. And released the rest of the poison in it, and not a small portion, as it would be in the case of the usual bite.
As Jennifer Sutcliffe says, her husband immediately felt unwell, lost his sight, he began to bleed internally.
Usually, the victim's wife says that a bitten one or two doses of an antidote is needed, but the man needed 26 doses of the medicine.
On the first day after the bite, the doctors doubted that he would be able to survive, but now the victim is in a stable condition.
According to experts, the deadly poisonous snake can have a biting reflex for almost an hour, even if its head is separated from the body.
