Russian court sent Madonna a summons

The court of St. Petersburg (Russia) sent a subpoena to the popular American singer Madonna demanding to appear in the 333 lawsuit for a million rubles ($ 5,3 million) for promoting homosexuality.

After the August concert of a pop star in Russia, viewers accused her of grossly violating the law banning gay propaganda among minors, they write ВEsti.ru.

After 2 months of proceedings, the court decided that in addition to the organizers of the concert, the singer herself should be responsible for violating the law, therefore, notices were sent to the Hard Candy Fitness company, owned by Madonna, and at her place of residence that a trial had been initiated in St. Petersburg on the claim of activists "Trade Union of Citizens of Russia."

The court asks to inform the respondent about the process and demands that the star itself or its representatives appear in court. Case materials in 2 copies, in Russian and English, will be transferred to the singer in the near future.

While Madonna did not answer, is she ready to come to Russia for a trial. In Russia, they assume that the singer ignores the process, or the agendas have not reached her home in New York. At the office of the fitness club, they were told that they did not receive letters at their address.

Neither Madonna nor her representatives showed up at the first meeting, but the organizers of the concert were present in court, who disowned Madonna, noting that they did not sign any contract with the singer, therefore they could not be responsible for violating the law.
