Ostanovka perenesena: creative 'translation' of an inscription at a bus stop in Moscow blew up social networks

The informational inscription at the bus stop in Moscow was “translated” with the help of transliteration. After the error was noticed on the network, a sign with the inscription was replaced. But the photo remained.

On November 19, Russian Twitter users began to distribute a photo of an information plate on the transfer of a public transport stop in Moscow. Instead of translating it into English, it has a transliterated inscription on it, writes Tjournal.

The Mosgortrans explained to the radio station "Moscow Says" that the inscription appeared as a result of a technical error, and a comment was made guilty of its appearance.

We are aware of this technical error. The information board was created in a program that automatically does transliteration from Russian into Latin. Employees who have made inattention, have already made a remark.

In the near future for them will hold an additional briefing, so that this does not happen again.

The organization stressed that the incorrect pointer has already been dismantled, and in its place in the near future the correct inscription will appear. As soon as the pointer was replaced, the same Twitter user Arkady Gershman posted a fresh photo. This time, with a translation into real English.
