2028 Olympiad to be held in Los Angeles

Los Angeles has reached an agreement with the leadership of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to hold the Summer Olympic Games in 2028 year instead of 2024 year. He writes about it Reuters.
The arrangements will return the Olympics to southern California for the third time after the summer Olympic Games in 1932 and 1984 took place in Los Angeles. Thanks to these arrangements, the games in the City of Angels will be held in 2028, and in 2024 they will be held in Paris, France.
Los Angeles was in the running to host the 2024 Summer Olympics, but that all changed in July when the IOC invited two strong candidates, Los Angeles and France, to host the Olympics alternately in 2024 and 2028.
It was expected that Los Angeles would agree to the second option, if only because local officials declared their readiness to consider this option. Paris officials, by contrast, were not willing to wait another 4 of the year.
The details of the Los Angeles agreement with the IOC are not yet available, so it is unclear whether the city has managed to achieve significant concessions in funding.
The last time the Summer Olympics were held in the US was at 1996 in Atlanta. Winter games took place in 2002 in Salt Lake City.
