Obama and Cameron intend to continue pressure on Russia
US President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron said they intend to continue to put pressure on Russia to “diplomatically resolve the crisis” in Ukraine.
The leaders of the United States and Great Britain declared their readiness to confront Russia’s “aggression” in Ukraine in a joint article published on Thursday in the British The Times.
“If we allow such fundamental violations of international law to go unpunished, we will suffer the instability that will follow... We have sent a clear message: the international community will not support Russia's efforts to destabilize Ukraine,” Obama and Cameron said in their op-ed.
Cameron and Obama also expressed their intention to help Kiev in strengthening the economy and democracy.
A joint article appeared on the eve of Cameron's visit to the US, writes BBC News.
