Netanyahu is more popular than Obama

The Israeli prime minister's popularity index among members of the US Jewish community is higher than that of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Democrats in general. Such data is provided by the American lobbying organization J Street, which advocates a peaceful settlement of the Arab-Israeli conflict.

The results of her survey show that a little less than half of American Jews actively sympathize with Benjamin Netanyahu. In principle, these figures correspond to the level of support that the current head of the White House enjoys in the Jewish community, but the number of Jews who have a very negative attitude towards Netanyahu is significantly lower than those who do not like Obama.

At the same time, 56% of respondents support public criticism to which the US president is exposing the Israeli prime minister for building in the Jewish settlements of Judea and Samaria.

In addition, 53% of American Jews are in favor of an agreement with Iran on its nuclear program, writes The Jerusalem Post, citing data from a survey conducted by CNN. Moreover, the number of respondents supporting the transaction increases to 78% in case 100-percent guarantees are received that Tehran will not be allowed to create atomic weapons.

It is also reported that 68% of American Jews would vote for Hillary Clinton in the upcoming presidential election, while Republican Jeb Bush would have received only 30%.
