The first winter cyclone in this season is moving to New York
The east coast of the United States this weekend will be hit by the first winter cyclone this season, which is also fed by moisture from the remnants of passing through the territory USA storm willa.
In connection with the cyclone in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut are expected several days of heavy rain, winds and, possibly, coastal flooding, writes CNN.
Forecasters say the northeastern region of the United States is expected to receive 1 to 3 inches of rain between Friday and Sunday, with about 25 million people in the New Jersey, New Coastal flooding is possible in York and Connecticut.
Wind gusts can reach 60 miles (97 km) per hour on Saturday on Long Island, Cape Cod and Massachusetts. Due to the winds in a large part of the region there may be interruptions in electricity.
Temperatures will be quite high, 40-50 degrees Fahrenheit (4-10 degrees Celsius), so this winter cyclone will be more wind and rain related than snow.
A few centimeters of snow can still fall in the mountains in the states of New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
