The American is in hospital in serious condition after a shark attack in Hawaii
Eric Schall, 58, of Pennsylvania, was attacked by a shark in Molokai Sound, Hawaii, on March 16. The man took part in a cross-strait swim from Molokai to Oahu. This was reported with reference to the Honolulu Emergency Service. News Now Hawaii.

Rescuers say that the man had been in the water of the Molokai Strait for nine hours already when a Brazilian glowing shark bit him in the stomach. The incident occurred in the dark.
The swim from Molokai to Oahu is 26 miles (41,8 km), and in the entire history it has been completed by just 63 people.
The victim was with his friend during the swim. Both men are trained swimmers and had planned this swim in advance.
