Musician Fred Durst: I would like to get a Russian passport
The leader of the American group Limp Bizkit Fred Durst on the radio station Rock FM on the morning show Drive Time announced his desire to obtain Russian citizenship.
“Yes, I wouldn’t mind getting a Russian passport! If you have connections in the relevant authorities that could help you obtain it, please share!” – said the 45-year-old musician, answering the host’s question whether he would like to be closer to Russian fans.
He called the offer from a listener to obtain a residence permit in Samara “a good start.”
“I just like it in Moscow. I come here every chance I get... I'm very happy to be here. Not every American gets to travel around Russia,” he said. According to Durst, life in Russia is not like how it is portrayed in the media. “And I want to prove to everyone that it’s really great here!” - he said.
Limp Bizkit was founded in 1994 by Fred Durst, Sam Rivers and John Otto. Later, Wes Borland joined them. To date, the team has recorded six studio albums.
