52-year-old Alan Wilzig built a professional Formula 1 racing track in his 150-year-old Dutch colonial-style mansion in Takanica, New York.

According to New York Post, Wilzig built a bidirectional race track with a length of 1,85 kilometers and a width of 13 meters, which is optimized for cars and motorcycles. The track is the only private track of the professional level in the world.

“My girlfriend and I would wake up around 7am, watch the Formula 1 races live on TV from Singapore or Bahrain or wherever, then go downstairs to have breakfast with my children aged 10 and 11, who unfortunately , do not share my passion for racing. Afterwards, Clemens and I spent 2 hours chasing each other around the track before heading back for half an hour of lovemaking, after which we headed to the pool to enjoy three or four hours of swimming with the kids. Could there be an even better way to spend time?” says the racer.

Wilzig is not just a racer, he is also a collector. His collection of cars and motorcycles occupies a three-story building and is estimated at $ 5 million. Among the exhibits there are Ducati, Suzuki and Bimotaand also a collection of 100 helmets and racing suits.
