Migrants who tried to get to the United States in the new year were dispersed with tear gas

Illegal migrants who tried to cross the border between the United States and Mexico, moving from Tijuana to San Diego on New Year's Eve, were dispersed with tear gas. As a result, about 100 people could not get to the United States.

When night fell and people on both sides of the border were preparing to celebrate New Year, about a hundred of migrants tried to cross the border, writes The Daily Mail. The US Customs and Border Guard Service (CBP) threw two tear gas into the side of the group.

The incident occurred a month after the Trump administration was severely criticized for using tear gas at the border against mothers with children. In November, a US border patrol used tear gas and rubber bullets to a group of migrants, including younger children, when caravan members attempted to storm the border at the San Isidro checkpoint. Eyewitnesses say that children cough and cry.

Donald Trump later justified the use of tear gas in this situation, emphasizing that the gas was “perfectly safe” and a “very weak form” of such means.

So far, the president has not commented on the “tear-filled night” from Monday to Tuesday, but he has already spoken out about the Democrats amid the government shutdown.

“One thing has now been proven. Democrats don't care about open borders and all the crime and drugs that open borders bring,” Trump tweeted on the morning of January 1st.

The tear gas incident occurred just a few days after ICE releases hundreds of migrants from Central America without warning, dropping them off at a bus station in El Paso without food, shelter or money. Local residents provided food for the people, and community groups provided them with temporary shelter. Authorities later cited a “mistaken” release of the migrants. No corrective action was taken.

Recall that recently died two immigrant childrenwho were in charge of the border patrol, as a result of which large-scale health checks were initiated for the illegal immigrants. The death of children caused outrage at the administration’s policy regarding asylum seekers in the United States.
