The subway between New Jersey and New York will be closed on weekends during the 4 months
In New York, several PATH train stations will not work on weekends for the next four months, as work will be done on installing an emergency braking system, writes ABC7.
It is reported that this weekend will close the World Trade Center and Exchange Place stations, where they will test the signals.
Starting next weekend and until the end of October, Manhattan stations between Christopher Street and 33rd Street will be closed, except for weekends on Labor Day.
The stations will be closed from midnight Fridays until 5 on Monday morning.
It is also noted that passengers from Manhattan will be able to get free MetroCards at 33rd Street station for two trips that can be used in the subway and buses.
Hoboken will be closed on three Sundays on 16 September, 23 October and 14 October, but will work on all other days.
By the end of December, all US railways will have to install a new braking system.
