Rat frustrated Alaska Airlines flight
According to the Alaska Airlines, the flight from Auckland to Portland had to be canceled after finding a rat on board, writes NBC.
The incident occurred around 8: 30 in the morning on Tuesday, January 2. Flight number XXUMX was about to leave Auckland International Airport, heading for Portland, when a rat ran on board.
Despite the efforts of the flight attendants, they could not catch the rodent, so the flight with 110 passengers on board had to be canceled. Most managed to rebook tickets for another flight to Portland, in the late afternoon. Some passengers were able to book a flight on Wednesday, January 3.
“The plane is currently out of service. “It will return to service as soon as a professional exterminator confirms that it is free of rodents,” an airline spokesman said. He added that experts will check whether the rodent caused any damage.
