Cristiano Ronaldo gave the money earned for winning the Euro to sick children
Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo sent the prize money earned for winning the Euro-2016 to the fund to fight against childhood cancer.
According to Manchester United Red Zone, the Real Madrid player donated a total of 275 thousand euros (about $300 thousand) to the fund.
Earlier, 31-year-old Ronaldo did likewise with a prize for winning the Champions League final.
Portugal became the champion of Euro-2016 after a dramatic victory over France with an 1: 0 score, having lost Cristiano Ronaldo in the middle of the first half.
The leader and captain of the Portuguese injured and left the field on a stretcher ahead of schedule.
At the end of Euro 2016, Ronaldo received a silver boot - an award for the second scorer of the tournament (the winner of the golden boot was the Frenchman Antoine Griezmann), but later the forward's teammate Nani said that Cristiano gave his boot to him.
