Clinton continues to make excuses for his correspondence
Potential Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton claims that she provided maximum transparency on the issue of using her personal mail server while she was US Secretary of State.
“It's like drops - drip, drip, drip. That's why I said that I can only control that much, ”Clinton said in the“ Meet the Press ”program on NBC. “I cannot predict what the Republicans will think of, what accusations or statements they can make.”
Clinton has been criticized for using a personal email address for business purposes instead of a government account. The ex-Secretary of State herself compared this criticism with a land scandal that overshadowed the presidency of her husband Bill Clinton.
“In 90's, I was already subjected to the same stream of criticism. Then it seemed that there would be no end to it, ”she said.
During the interview, Clinton once again called her decision to use her personal server "an error."
The correspondence between Clinton and retired General David Petraeus, which opened a few days ago, raised doubts that she had indeed conveyed to the government full information about official letters.
On Sunday, Clinton reported that this correspondence took place during the transitional period, which lasted about a month, when she was still using her personal mail server. She added that she did not help her lawyers who determined which letters were to be sent.
