An Israeli from Ukraine gave birth to her first child in 65 years
65-year-old Bnei Brak resident Haya Shahar gave birth to her first son this morning at the Meir Medical Center (Kfar Saba). We are talking about an age record for mothers in Israel.
According to the Walla portal, the woman became pregnant for the first time after 46 years of marriage and her family calls it a “huge miracle.” Chaya’s husband, Rabbi Shmuel Shahar, is 67 years old.
Relatives Hai and Shmuel told reporters that the child was born healthy and his physical parameters are normal.
Spouses Shahar belong to the community of Hasidim Nadvorny - repatriates from a small town in the west of Ukraine and its environs, who, in recent decades, have created a large community in Bnei Brak.
