Odessa immigrant suspected of murder

In Japan, in Osaka, 26-year-old American from New York, Yevgeny Bayraktar, an immigrant from Odessa, was arrested on suspicion that he killed and dismembered 27-year-old Japanese woman Saki Kondo in February, writes the New York Post.

In February, a woman’s severed head was found in Bayraktar’s suitcase. The guy admitted that he dismembered the girl's body and showed the police where he buried the rest of the body.

Bayraktar was first arrested on suspicion of abducting an 27-year-old woman, after her mother reported her loss. During a search of a guy in a suitcase, they found the head of a Japanese woman. The rest of the body of the guy buried in the forest of Kyoto.

Bayraktar flew to Japan in January and met Kondo on the Internet on a dating site. February 15 invited her to an apartment he had rented on the same day in Osaka.

A couple entering the apartment rented by the boy were recorded with the building’s security cameras. Then Kondo got a phone and it was impossible to get through to her. The following entry shows how Bayraktar leaves the apartment with a large bag.

The police did not find traces of blood in the apartment, but noticed that someone inflamed a large number of air fresheners.

About Bayraktar little known. He lived in a modest house on Mastic Beach with his mother and her third husband. He then served at the McConnell Air Force Kansas Air Force Base and was fired from service in June 2012. He served as a first-class pilot for only 11 months from a four-year contract. Why he was fired is not known.

Bayraktar was born in Odessa and arrived in the United States at the age of 9 years after his mother Regina married an engineer from Texas Benny Daisy, whom she met on a dating site.

Daisy went to Odessa to pick up his future bride, who was 12 younger than him. She lived in a small one-room apartment with her only son. He took the woman and son to America, where he entered into a civil marriage with Regina.

Daisy recalls that the boy did not go in contact with him and loved his mother very much.

“He was a mama's boy. If we had dinner and he didn’t like the food, then my mother would get up and start cooking something special for him, and this was at a time when we didn’t have a lot of money,” recalls Regina’s ex-husband.

He also says that the biological father talked with his son and gave him money. Daisy financed Regina's nurse studies and after that she and her son disappeared from his life.

“She called once to ask me for a divorce, but I had no idea where they were until I found out about what happened. It was the most difficult time of my life when she left me. She's very selfish," Dacey says.

Regina is now married to another engineer and works as a nurse at a rehab facility in Hamptons.
