In Russia, raised the retirement age

On Thursday, the State Duma adopted in the third and final reading the law on pension reform, providing for a gradual increase in the retirement age by 5 years - to 65 for men and 60 for women.

According to the law, the length of service, which gives the right to early retirement, for men will be 42 years, for women - 37 years, writes Mail.ru. The cumulative pension will be paid, as in the current retirement age, with 55 years for women and with 60 for men.

The rule on the indexation of pensions to non-working pensioners protects their interests and is aimed at ensuring that people who quit work receive full indexation of pensions for the past period.

An increase in unemployment benefits for persons of pre-retirement age is envisaged. The preferential mode of retirement of mothers with many children is introduced in 50-57 years. For pensioners retained tax concessions on land and real estate.

The law is sent to the Council of Federation for consideration. The source said that the upper house will review the October 3 document. If approved by the senators, the document will go to the President of the Russian Federation, who is entitled to sign or reject it.

In mid-June 2018, the Russian government approved a gradual increase in the retirement age for women to 63 years and for men to 65 years.

The reform of the pension system is scheduled to begin with 2019, fully completed - by 2034.

Recall that in the first reading the bill on raising the retirement age July 19 was adopted. At the time, this measure was not supported by the majority of Russians: protests took place in dozens of Russian cities, and the Russian media studiously avoided the words “promotion” and “age.”
