Google bought Belarusian startup

Company Google acquired a Belarusian startup Aimattercreated by former top managers Mail.Ru Yuri Gursky and Yuri Melnicka. Gursky and Melnychek told about the deal in an interview TUT.BY.
The amount of the transaction and its other sensitive details are not publicly disclosed. This is standard practice. Google and many other corporations actively acquiring startups. Project CEO Andrey Kulik only noted that they were “deeply satisfied with the terms of the deal and how it proceeded.”
In this case we are talking about the purchase of the company. (acquisition), and not a deal for the sake of acquiring employees (acqui-hiring). The team includes winners of international programming competitions, authors of international patents and scientific research. Many worked in such top technology centers as Google, Yandex, AMD, NVIDIA.
Aimatter, told its creators, is engaged in image recognition technology and image processing, as well as working on the launch of neural networks on mobile devices. The company has released several entertainment applications that vividly demonstrate unusual applications, such as cutting out the background and repainting the hair (Fabby look).
According to "Medusa“, Belarusian IT entrepreneur Yuri Gursky previously participated, among other things, in the creation of MSQRD and Prisma. MSQRD, which recognizes faces and overlays animated masks on them, in 2016 was sold Facebook.
