“This is unscientific”: homeopathy manufacturers were required to label their products
The US Federal Trade Commission ordered manufacturers of homeopathic medicines to indicate on packaging that homeopathy is unscientific. He writes about it State.com. The publication clarifies that it is possible to avoid the repulsive sticker on the packaging of tablets - but to do this, manufacturers will have to prove that their drugs are really effective.
The US Federal Trade Commission also ensured that manufacturers explained homeopathic medicines to customers that the production of such medicines is based on medieval theories that modern medicine does not approve, the newspaper writes.
“Manufacturers will now have to include these warnings on packaging if they want to avoid lawsuits and claims that their drugs are ineffective. Manufacturers will have to play by new rules, says Wes Singer, an attorney who specializes in consumer protection cases.
It is worth noting that, according to State.com, the Americans spend about $ 3 billion on the purchase of homeopathic medicines a year.
