Russian opera singer Dmitry Hvorostovsky was included in the list of nominees for the Grammy music award for his performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera “Rigoletto”.

This is stated on Online Award.
The artist is competing for the award in the category “Best Recording of an Opera Work,” which is usually awarded to the conductor, main performers and producer of the album.
Therefore, along with Hvorostovsky, several other artists who worked on the recording of this composition are included in the nomination.
Conductors John Adams, Michael Christie, Christophe Rousset and Sebastian Weigle are also nominated for a Grammy in this category.

Who gets the statuette will be revealed to 10 February 2019, the awards ceremony will be held in Los Angeles.
Recall Dmitry Hvorostovsky died November 22 2017 from brain cancer after a long struggle with the disease.
