Trump's kids won't vote for father
Two out of five children were unable to register on time for participation in the primaries to be held in New York on April 19.
Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, has admitted that his two children, Ivanka and Eric, failed to register in time to vote in next week's primary elections.
“They were not aware of the rules and did not register on time. Now they feel very guilty,” The Independent quotes Trump. He added: “But that's normal. I understand".
Also, the youngest son Brannon will not take part in the voting. He has not yet reached the age when he can vote.
Republicans vote simply - check the ballot and then count the votes.
Donald Trump collected 743 votes after the primaries. His main rival, Senator Ted Cruz, has 527 votes. To guarantee nomination as a presidential candidate, it is necessary to secure 11237 votes. Trump is popular in New York, so he can count on winning the primary elections.
In July, the two main United States parties - the Democratic and the Republican - will hold nationwide congresses, where their presidential candidates will be elected. Presidential elections are scheduled for November 8 of 2016.
