To borrow money to Ukraine, the European Union will take a loan
The conditions for Ukraine to receive a loan from the European Union 1,8 billion euros will be agreed in the Memorandum of Understanding.
Deputies of the European Parliament approved the EU plans to provide Ukraine a loan in the amount of 1,8 billion euros to help Kiev reduce the short-term balance of payments deficit. The European Union will borrow this money from the outside and will provide it to Ukraine at the same interest rate. The allocation of these funds will be associated with the commitment of Ukraine to carry out structural reforms to solve the problems that caused the current crisis.
The European Commission will raise money on the international bond market and lend it to Ukraine without any additional interest - at the same interest rate that the EU must pay its international borrowers.
