Blindfolded World Chess Champion Beat American Businessmen
The current world chess champion Magnus Carlsen blindfolded beat three American businessmen.
The Norwegian chess player held a simul at the conference of financiers in New York. Each of the three participants in the session received nine minutes per game, but, despite the tight time frame, and the lack of visual contact with the chessboard, Carlsen managed to win all the games.
“It was difficult due to lack of time, but very exciting,” the Norwegian grandmaster admitted.
Carlsen has held the title of World Chess Champion since 2013. 24-year-old Norwegian is the owner of the highest in the history of the Elo rating indicator (2882), four times became the winner of the "chess Oscar". In 2013, Time magazine included Carlsen on the list of the hundred most influential people in the world.
