Football fans from Switzerland happened to be on the forefront in the Donbass

Fans from Switzerland, who were traveling by bus to Rostov-on-Don for the World Cup, found themselves in the territory of the occupied Donetsk. I wrote about this in my post at Facebook journalist and volunteer Anna Dombrovskaya, adding photos with cheerful foreigners in the war zone.

“The fans were traveling to the Brazil-Switzerland match in Rostov-on-Don, and the navigator showed them the way through occupied Donetsk. The fans planned to spend the night at a hotel in occupied Amvrosievka,” writes a volunteer. — It’s curious, but when crossing the Ukrainian border or at checkpoints at the entrance to the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone, tourists are not asked at all about the purpose of the trip? The Swiss had a souvenir World Cup on the dashboard of their car, and the inscriptions on the body clearly indicated that they were going to Russia for the 2018 FIFA World Cup!”

The girl added that she had to remember English in order to explain to the guests how they could leave the danger zone and find another way to Rostov.

Recall that earlier the us state department recommended Americans refrain from traveling to Russia and the territory of the occupied Crimea.
