Thanks to a DNA test, an American found her mother later 69 years
In Florida, a mother and daughter met 69 years after separation. The reunion took place thanks to the online DNA site.
88-year-old Genevieve Purinton gave birth to Conniew 1949 when she was 18 years old, says Fox 13. However, when the daughter was born, the mother said that the child died.
“I asked to see the baby,” she said, recalling the moment. “They said she was dead.”
Mother and daughter were able to meet again after they found each other through the Ancestry DNA kit, which Moultrup received from her daughter last Christmas.
The woman began to search for the DNA of his mother, but found a cousin. When she called him the name Puriton, the cousin said: "This is my aunt, and she is still alive."
Moultrup went from Vermont to Tampa to meet her mother, which she “wanted all her life.”
“I remember being 5 years old and wanting to find my mom,” she recalls.
A woman grew up in Southern California. When she was 5 years old, her adoptive mother died, and her stepmother treated her extremely insulting.
During the meeting, the mother and daughter embraced and through tears could not believe what was happening.
“You’re really not dead,” Purinton told her daughter, who responded, “I’m not dead.”
