Bill, intimidated, tried to strangle: several women accused the Prosecutor General of New York in violence

Four women accused New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman of using physical violence. This writes RTVi, with reference to an article in the magazine New Yorker.

The two women who accused Prosecutor General Schneiderman of physical violence agreed to give their names - Michelle Manning Berish and Tanya Selvaratnam. With each of them, the Prosecutor General "was in a romantic relationship." Women claim that Schneiderman used physical violence against them, without obtaining their consent.

Barish and Selvaratnam argue that Schneiderman struck them, tried to strangle them. After that, both women had to seek medical help.

According to Selvaratnam, Schneiderman threatened to tap her phone conversations.

Both women claim that such incidents often occurred when Schneiderman was intoxicated.

After the publication of the article on the site The New YorkerAttorney General Schneiderman tweeted that he never forced women to have sex with him.

“Being in an intimate relationship, I was engaged in role-playing games and other types of sex with mutual consent. I didn't hit anyone. I have never forced anyone to have sex, this is a trait for which I would never have passed, ”the prosecutor general wrote.

Two more women who did not want to disclose names, also accused Schneiderman of physical violence. One of the alleged victims of the Attorney General is a lawyer who is well known in legal circles in New York. She asked the New Yorker not to call her name. According to her, Schneiderman hit her hard when she refused him intimacy.

As reported by CNN, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo called on Eric Schneiderman to resign in connection with the charges against him. "In my personal conviction, given the facts and evidence presented in the article, Eric Schneiderman can no longer hold the post of Attorney General and must resign," said Cuomo in a statement.

Democrat Schneiderman was one of the most famous defenders of the #MeToo movement. It was Schneiderman who initiated the investigation into Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, who is accused of harassment and rape by dozens of women.
