Hurricane Jokes: Florida Man's Foolish Plan during Irma's Time

Usually, preparing for a hurricane, people take care of food, water, shelter, and possibly a generator that will help them survive the bad weather.

However, some residents of Florida during the promotion of the state of hurricane Irma have planned rather eccentric events, writes Miami Herald.

For example, a man from Miami said on the NBC television channel that he was going to tie himself to a pole and so wait out the passage of a hurricane in the city.

- Excuse me, sir, why are you here? - the presenter turned to the shirtless man.

- I'm preparing a trick. It sounds crazy, but it makes sense. I will tie myself to a post on Meridian for the duration of the hurricane. “Everything is planned in compliance with safety precautions and other requirements,” the man replied.

Twitter users instantly reacted to the crazy idea.

But he is not the only Florida resident who came up with insane ideas regarding the meeting of the hurricane.

In an interview with CBS4, the teenager said he and his family decided not to evacuate Florida because “they are savages.”

8 September a man who introduced himself as Greg, was surfing on the beach of Delray Beach in Palm Beach County. Greg told CBS 12 that he simply wanted to take the opportunity to conquer the high waves and fast wind caused by hurricane Irma.

A man who looked like he was preparing for snorkeling, said he intended to “ride Hurricane Iram” on Duval Street, which is far enough off the coast of Miami.

A Florida resident who identified himself as Mike said he had only evacuated their home once - during Hurricane Georges in 1998 - and had no intention of doing so again. He relies on his boat to help him weather the storm. He spoke about this in a video on the platform Reddit.

There was also a creative who called for shooting a firearm at a hurricane. Supporters of this idea in Facebook more than 80 thousand gathered, therefore police explained that this is very dangerous entertainment.

The bullets will spin into the air cycle, and then the destructive gusts of wind will be filled not only with rubbish picked up from the ground, but also with bullets that can be deadly at wind speeds above 200 km per hour.
