Kalashnikov assault rifles will be produced in a factory in Florida

Kalashnikovs will be manufactured at a factory in Florida, where it was decided to move production, after the American manufacturer Kalashnikov USA was forced to break off relations with the Kalashnikov parent concern because of sanctions against Russia.

The sanctions were imposed by President Barack Obama in 2014, in connection with the annexation of the Crimea.

The sanctions prohibit American companies from doing business with eight Russian weapons manufacturers, including the Kalashnikov concern, which is manufactured by AK-47.

Last year, the US division set up production in Tallittown, Pennsylvania, but now decided to move it to the city of Pompano Beach.

Last week, the company unveiled a new series of rifles and shotguns at the SHOT Show weapons exhibition in Las Vegas.

Kalashnikov USA received a production permit from the authorities of Pompano Beach, as well as an import license from the Office of Control of the Alcoholic Drinks, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

However, companies can not sell weapons and produce ammunition, so it will work through trading companies in other states.

The Kalashnikov assault rifle was designed by Soviet designer Mikhail Kalashnikov in the 1946 year and remains the most popular and popular automatic rifle in the world to this day. It is estimated that approximately 75 has produced millions of copies of this model.
