American teenager assembled Rubik's cube in 5.25 seconds
American teenager Colin Burns (Collin Burns) set a world record for the speed of assembly of the Rubik's Cube. He managed to cope with the puzzle in 5,25 seconds. The time of the previous record set in 2013 was 5,55 seconds.
Burns set a record in past Pennsylvania competitions organized by the World Cube Association (WCA).
WCA spokesman Tim Reynolds (Tim Reynolds) said that Burns was able to set a record in the classic competition for the assembly of the cube, on each side of which is placed on 9 blocks. Reynolds noted that, most likely, the Burns record will be included in the new edition of the Guinness Book of Records.
In 2014, Colin Burns became the champion of the United States in assembling the Rubik's Cube.
In March, 2014, a CubeStormer 3 robot created by British engineers, managed to assemble a Rubik's cube in 3,253 seconds.
The robot builds the cube with four “hands”, constructed from Lego Mindstorm EV3 designer parts.
