American mathematician calculated the exact dates of the beginning of the third world war

In Colorado, a mathematician from Boulder University, Aaron Clauset, analyzed open historical data on armed clashes and calculated deadlines for the start of the third world war. Historical data is likely to indicate that a major interstate armed conflict should occur before the 2150 year, according to a scientist published in the journal Science Advances, writes RIA News.

В исследовании говорится, что исторически периоды длительного перемирия сменяются фазами «великого насилия» и наоборот.

«Таким образом, исторические закономерности периодичности войн подразумевают, что долгий мир может быть существенно более хрупким, чем считают те, кто в последнее время прилагает усилия для того, чтобы выявить механизм, уменьшающий вероятность межгосударственных конфликтов», — пишет математик.

The scientist analyzed the armed clashes that occurred between the states in the period from 1823 to 2003 year. During this time span, 95 occurred in major conflicts between different countries. And from 1940 to 2003, only 5 of them occurred.

Клаузет также разработал компьютерную программу, которая воспроизвела войны этого периода и определила их частоту и «степень тяжести». По словам ученого, вероятность очередного глобального вооруженного столкновения довольно высока. Как отмечается в исследовании, необходимо 100-140 лет бесконфликтного существования в масштабах планеты для того, чтобы нынешний период «длительного мира» изменил сложившуюся с годами тенденцию.
