American found a way to live for free in the most beautiful corners of the United States

A resident of Manhattan found an unusual way to go around the whole country without paying a penny for renting places where she stops. 42-year-old Jena Chambers sits with pets in apartments and houses in different parts of the United States.

Jena has a house in the East Village, but she has rarely been there since she’s been taking care of other people's puppies and kittens all over America since 2012, says New York Post.

“Petsitting is what allowed me to start my own business and live without paying rent,” says this stunning blonde. “I just go away and live for free in different inspiring places.”

Before Chambers began her unusual travels in 2012, she worked in a private joint-stock company and now she covers her daily expenses by selling candy for adults called Pandora's Pops.

Jena spends the rest of her time living in cities on the coast, mainly in California, taking care of dogs, cats and other pets of house owners (among the woman’s “pupils” there are even hermit crabs).

“I love the coasts exclusively,” Chambers says. “For three whole summers I lived in the house and took care of the rose garden, and it was like living in the Garden of Eden. I could go out into the garden naked and prune roses - no one sees.”

According to Chambers, settling down in one house gives the feeling of a new chapter, "a canvas on which you are going to write something." She doesn't charge for her services beyond free housing, even though pet sitting costs American pet owners up to $150 a night on average.

If she accepted money, the woman said, she would feel “as if I were working for these people, but that’s not for me.”

Chambers also sat with her pets in New York, enjoying the atmosphere of different parts of the metropolis. “It’s like playing tourist in your own city.”

But all this is not only about the sun and kittens. For example, one dog went blind when Jena was walking her, and once a woman almost met her face to face with a fire flame in Northern California.

“This is the practice and reality of petsitting,” she says. “You get involved in intense situations in people's lives.”

She is now discovering new horizons by joining the international Trusted Housesitters service. Jena wants to live in an apartment in Paris, where there will be a cat, or in a house in the south of France with a cat or two.
