American Sam El-Hassani lived for two years in territory controlled by militants of the banned extremist group Islamic State.

Sam went to Syria with her husband Musa and her two children in 2015. There, Musa joined the IS, and they ended up in Rakka. Sam claims that her husband lured her there by deception and she wanted to run, but could not, writes Air force.
